Chris Terrance, Jr, President
Chris Terrance, JrChris Terrance Jr. is entering his second year as president of the SDIAA. Chris has over 25 years insurance industry experience in both property/casualty with various insurance companies and TPAs. Chris has held several management positions within the insurance industry and is currently the Vice President of Business Development for Servicemaster Absolute – a major provider of emergency water/fire restoration and general contractor servicing the San Diego marketplace..

Amy Gillen-Garcia, Vice President
Amy Gillen-Garcia Amy is formerly a Claim Manager at Republic, Ward North America and American Claims Management. She has 31 years of claims experience (YIKES), and is currently a Senior Casualty Claim Representative with Capital Insurance Group. Amy holds a designation as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Claims (AIC).

Deanne Murphy, Secretary

Deanne MurphyDeanne Murphy is the SDIAA Board Secretary. Deanne grew up in San Diego. She is the owner of Charger Claims Insurance Adjusters, handling all lines of business and is also a Credentialed Mediator. She has been in the insurance industry for 28 years & has worked for ICW, Reliance Insurance, ACM, West Coast Casualty and Dimont & Asociates. Deanne celebrates 22 years with Bill, has two children, Paige and Dylan, & a new grandson, David.

Pat Bobbs, Treasurer

Pat BobbsPat has worked in the insurance industry for the past 40 years and has recently left Allstate Insurance Company. She will review claims and consult along with adjust and estimate damages specific to structural damages related to fire or other perils. At the present time she has secured her Independent Adjuster's License from the State of California Department of Insurance, Additionally, Pat has been Certified in Earthquake and has secured NFIP accreditation. She will be assisting Catastrophe handling in the field once deployed. Pat has been certified by Citizens Insurance in Florida along with 8 other carriers on the East Coast. Local adjusting and consulting during times of overflow is also available. She will be attending State Farm Certification classes in Dallas as well.

Alfred Dalton, Education

Alfred Dalton is an Account Manager at Servicemaster Absolute.  Alfred's 20 year insurance history includes positions in underwriting, liability, bodily injury and litigation adjuster.   Alfred is a graduate of Chapman University and is currently licensed in California and Arizona.

Marvin Straus, Legal/Legislative

Marvin StrausMarvin J. Straus is a partner at Parker Straus, LLP. His areas of practice include Complex Fraud Litigation, Insurance Defense, Bad Faith Defense, Insurance Coverage, Qui Tam & Real Estate. Within his practice, he has been involved in all aspects of first & third party litigation.  He is a frequent presenter to insurance companies & professional organizations on topics involving fraud, coverage, effective examinations under oath & bad faith issues.

Bruce Rosenblatt, Membership

Bruce Rosenblatt


Bruce is a native San Diegan, attended Helix High and San Diego State University. With over 30 years experience in contents textile restoration he is a account manager for Restoration Management. Bruce is married with 3 children and loves to visit the South Pacific as often as possible, play golf and restore cars.

Desiree Martini, Special Events

Desiree MartiniNative San Diegan and mother of one. Attended James Madison High-School class of 96’. After some time in junior college she found a true passion in being a service provider to the community. She started her career in banking and served in the banking industry for 12 years. Since the banking industry began to change due to the declining economy she took her passion and looked for an industry that would enhance her customer service, networking, and leadership skills. Being in the Insurance/Property Management Industry for the past 3 years has been a great experience and opportunity for her. She enjoys meeting new people and assisting those in a time of need. Building relationships along the way making new friendships and always learning something new keeps her passion alive while serving the community.

Jay Jackson, Information Technology

Jay JacksonJay has been a First Responder, Sales and Marketing Representative for CRDN of San Diego County since the Wild Fires of 2007. The former Marine and long time Temecula resident is just a semester shy of being an SDSU alumni. Jay will be serving this term as the Information Technology position assisting with the SDIAA website and communication.
